The COVID-19 pandemic brought me to this wonderful place at a time when everything felt uncertain. As a media personnel, I had to be out on the ground getting my stories done. Unfortunately, I had no place to stay and, worse, nothing to eat, as it was still during the height of the lockdown.
That was when I was introduced to Langkawi Country Lodge (LCL). We, the media team from various agencies, were sheltered here. Mama Yati welcomed us with her usual warmth, turning a difficult time into something bearable.
She prepared wonderful meals—breakfast right up to supper. Everything was so good. Her cooking felt like comfort in the middle of chaos. We fell in love with this place and continued returning whenever we had assignments on the island.
Mama Yati and Papa Mas treated us like their own children—always caring, always looking out for us. We became a family, even without blood ties.
Over the years, their service only improved. From replacing plastic bottles to adopting eco-friendly items, everything continues to amaze me each time I visit.
Though I am no longer a frequent visitor, I still dream of having a long stay at LCL—simply enjoying the peaceful environment and, of course, their delicious food.
Thank you for the wonderful memories, Langkawi Country Lodge. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
